Damascus, SANA- Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Eng. Mohammad Anjarani, met with Charg dAffaires of the Jordanian Embassy in Damascus, Basel Al-Kayed, to discuss avenues for mutual cooperation and the exchange of expertise on relevant issues.
During the meeting, held yesterday at the Ministrys headquarters, Minister Anjarani emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing ministerial coordination in local administration, public services, and environmental sectors. He highlighted the value of mutual visits and knowledge-sharing, noting Jordans valuable experience in these fields.
Anjarani also praised Jordans supportive stance in helping extinguish the wildfires currently affecting Syrias coastal region. He noted that Jordan had dispatched civil defense teams to aid in the efforts to contain forest fires in the northern countryside of Latakia an act that reflects the deep-rooted and historic ties between the two nations.
For his part, the Jordanian envoy expressed his countrys readiness to assist the Syrian government across all sectors. He affirmed Jordans commitment to contributing to Syrias recovery through the Supreme Coordination Council between the two countries and by developing joint action plans and programs in areas of shared interest.
